At Vistaprint, we believe that absolutely anyone should have the opportunity to start their own business. Small and micro businesses are crucial to the make-up of local communities and hold the key to improving and sustaining a healthy overall economy.
This is why we are supporting The Prince’s Trust Enterprise programme – helping young people aged 18-30 in the UK to explore and test their ideas, and start their own business. In August 2017 we became an official Patron of The Prince’s Trust, committed to providing this amazing charity with financial support, employee volunteering and fundraising, and the donation of Vistaprint printed products for a number of their initiatives.
Our partnership will provide young people in London with the opportunity to explore and test their business ideas, provide access to low interest business start up loans and benefit from experienced marketing advice
Vistaprint’s support will enable young entrepreneurs to promote themselves, by providing complimentary business cards and other marketing materials at the early stage of their business, and delivering workshops to give them the skills they need to stand out.
Currently in the UK, around one million people aged 16-25 are unemployed and are being pushed further and further away from the job market. The Trust’s recent Macquarie Youth Index Report showed that a third of young people do not feel in control of their job prospects and 42% of young people feel traditional goals like owning a house or even getting a steady job are unrealistic. However, The Prince’s Trust believe that starting your own business creates positive, life-changing opportunities – something that we wholeheartedly agree with.
Many of the people that The Prince’s Trust supports are from disadvantaged backgrounds and challenging life circumstances. However, any young person in the UK who is either currently unemployed or working under 16 hours per week can apply for their support.

Who is The Prince’s Trust?
The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity that helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. Founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, the charity offers a wide range of programmes to help young people develop key life and employability skills, re-engage with education, get into work, or set up their own business.
