Sizes & options that fit your workflow
With 4 sizes to choose from – 3.8" x 7.8", 4" x 5.5", 5.5" x 8.5" and 8.5" x 11" – you can add a favorite quote, logo or anything else that makes it yours. All notepads are top-bound and printed on 5.3pt paper. Our smaller notepads can be finished with either a sturdy 24-28pt thick cardboard reserve backing for desks and flat surfaces, or an additional magnetic back that's great for fridges and filing cabinets. So whether you need a compact agenda for the fridge or a full-size legal pad for the office, there's an option for you. Just keep in mind that, because of its size, the 8.5" x 11" notepad comes with a cardboard reserve backing only and isn't available with a magnetic back.

Last, you’ll be taken to our design studio, where you can update colors, add logos and images and make your legal pads or notepads uniquely yours. Once you’ve approved your design, we’ll take it from there. Yes. Your notepad is printed on acid-free paper with a 5.3pt thickness (104 or 118 gsm). This resists bleed-through with most fountain pens, gel pens and acrylic markers.
Your design will be printed on white paper, but our full-color printing lets you add any colors you want to the whole of your design. The back will remain white.
To pick the right reverse side for your custom notepad printing needs, consider where and how you want to use your notepads. If you intend to use the pad on the go, or while working at a desk, our sturdy, 24-28pt cardboard backing may be right for you. But if you want an easy display option for your fridge or filing cabinets, our magnetic backing could be just what you need. Please note, our magnetic backing is unavailable for our 8.5" x 11" notepads.
Yes, you can upload a finished design to use with your custom notepad.

When it comes to color choice, we recommend you think about how you’ll be using your personalized notepads – especially what you’ll use to write on them. A legal pad with predominantly dark colors may not be a good choice if you plan to write with a black pen, but a great option if you intend to use a silver marker. And if you’re creating custom notepads for business use, don’t hesitate to use your business colors and add a logo – those details often get noticed by customers or employees.
The right size depends on how your notepad will be used:
- 3.8" x 7.8" – A compact, slim option that fits easily in a pocket or bag. Great for real estate agents jotting notes or quick reminders on the go.
- 4" x 5.5" – A classic small notepad size, perfect for to-do lists, phone messages or corporate swag and giveaways.
- 5.5" x 8.5" – A versatile mid-size option that works well for schools (class handouts, worksheets or student planners) and medical offices (patient instructions, appointment reminders or prescription notes).
