Yes – for a successful print, we recommend following these design tips and upload specifications. - __Format:__ Your file needs to be in PDF format – without password protection. - __Layout:__ Your file should include single pages, each arranged in the correct reading order. Make sure your file includes all of your pages – including 4 cover pages. - __Blank Pages:__ If you want blank inside cover pages, make sure you include blank pages within your PDF file. - __Colors:__ Stapled booklets are printed in CMYK. Images provided in RGB or PANTONE colors will be converted. - __Resolution:__ 300dpi is the required resolution for stapled booklets. Lower resolutions may affect the printing quality. - __Bleeds:__ For an accurate print, include a 1/8" (0.125 in) bleed on every side of every page. If you encounter file upload issues, double-check your bleed – it may exceed the accepted ±0.125 threshold. - __Margins:__ Keep all text at least 1 cm from the margins. Anything closer may be too close to the edge (or the binding) to easily read. Had these booklets printed for a client. Overall the product was good - clear photos, nice quality paper stock, well printed and assembled. The only issue was some random light spots on the back cover (see photo) that were identical on each piece

I have gotten my magazine booklet printed from Vistaprint. The product was fine but the paper quality I had mentioned as glossy finish wasn't delivered, it was in matte finish instead. The thickness of the pages were also not delivered as I had instructed as the whole booklet has the same thickness. Overall, the magazine booklet printing was fine and photos or pages didn't overlap. For the affordable price and quick delivery, the product was decent.

Saddle stitched means that the booklets are bound with staples. Perfect bound booklets, on the other hand, are bound with glue. Saddle-stitch booklets are considered low-cost and durable, a straightforward choice for an assortment of projects or business needs – we particularly recommend them for price lists, product catalogs, event programs, brochures, pamphlets and magazines. They also work well for restaurants or cafes in need of longer, more detailed menus.

Your stapled booklets can include 8-76 pages – this includes 4 cover pages (front cover, inside front cover, back cover and inside back cover). For example, an 8-page booklet = 4 cover pages + 4 inside pages. You can increase or decrease a stapled booklet’s page count in increments of 4: 12 pages, 16 pages, 20 pages, etc.

No, you’re not required to - you’ll just need to include blank pages in your print-ready PDF. But if you’d like to utilize all the space and add content to all 4 cover pages, you’re welcome to do that, too.

Our saddle-stitch booklets are available in matte or glossy, with standard, premium, or premium plus cover paper thicknesses available.

Note that you can combine premium or premium plus glossy cover paper with matte inside paper. Otherwise, the cover paper stock and inside paper stock will be the same.

All inside paper has standard 4pt (80lb.) thickness, whether you choose matte or glossy.
