Important Notes: Make sure your magnet is applied to a magnet-compatible part of your car, like the door. (Not sure if your car is magnet-compatible? Test it first with a refrigerator magnet. If it sticks, you’re good to go. If not, try our car door decals.) Also, make sure your vehicle surface is smooth, clean and dust free. To protect your vehicle, remove and reapply your magnet every 2-3 days. Clean the back of the magnet and surface weekly with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Before installing
Car magnets are a great option if you’re looking for a custom size and shape for your car. Before getting started, you’ll want to see if your car is compatible with our magnets by placing a small refrigerator magnet on it. If it sticks, you’re good to go. If not, take a look at our car door decals – which are made with a long-lasting adhesive. Most car doors are made out of a metal material like steel, which works great with our vehicle magnets. But some newer car doors are made with smaller amounts of metal, which magnets won’t stick to. Note: Follow the care and usage tips in the FAQ section to avoid damaging your vehicle.

Ready to start? First, choose from one of 2 standard car magnet shapes and 12 standard sizes or even custom create your own size and shape. Then explore our gallery of fully customizable design templates with industry-specific options. (Or, if you have a design ready to go, use our design upload option.) Once you’ve found a design you you like, make it yours by adding your custom details and choosing the options that work best for you. We’ll use fade-resistant UV ink printing to add your design to the matte surface of your magnetic car sign – and the finished product will be ready to stand out wherever the road takes you.

What Makes it Better

With proper application, your magnet should stay in place for up to two years. We recommend the following application method:
1. Clean: Clean the vehicle surface and magnetic back with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
2. Dry: Let both your vehicle surface and your car magnet air dry completely.
3. Apply: Apply the magnet to a flat, metallic surface without bumps, curves or rust.
4. Maintain: To avoid damage to your vehicle, we recommend removing and reapplying your car magnet every 2-3 days. Clean the back of your car sign and vehicle surface weekly with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
You’ll know the magnet is properly installed if it adheres to the surface, if there are no air bubbles between the magnet and the vehicle surface, and if the magnet (including the corners) is flat against the surface.
Following these tips will extend the life of your magnet and protect the surface to which it’s applied. Failure to do so can result in permanent damage to the vehicle and magnet.
1. Remove your magnet before any professional car washes or power washing
2. Do not use your vehicle magnet in extreme weather conditions
3. Remove and reapply your car magnet every 2-3 days
