The suggested color that matches the design looks acceptable on the preview. When I received the cards, the text was not readable over the frosted printing and I had to spend money and re-order. The proof I approved online did not necessarily match what I received and it was an expensive fix.

Also, we attempted to scan the QR code from our end and were unfortunately unable to do so due to the low-resolution file quality. For the best possible results, we recommend using high-resolution files with a minimum of 300 DPI, particularly for important functional elements such as QR codes. To help prevent similar issues in the future, we strongly encourage reviewing the on-screen preview and downloading the PDF proof before finalizing an order, as this can help identify visibility and clarity concerns in advance. I decided to go with the Frosted business card for my husband’s business. Everything looked great on the mock up design until the cards were delivered. We can’t even read what’s on the business card unless it’s directly underneath a bright light. Therefore we’re unable to hand these cards out to clients and we’re now $100 in the hole for 100 business cards. It would’ve been nice if a message popped up when uploading our business logo and contact information that the colors would not be readable on the frosted business cards. Thanks Vista Print.

Frequently asked questions
No – our frosted business cards don’t include that technology. While you can add a QR code, we don’t (and legally can’t) offer the black “mag strips” or NFC chips for them.
Though you can use our frosted business cards for alternative uses like loyalty programs or generic membership cards, we cannot legally print any design that looks like an ID card, credit card or bank card.
Yes, you can! We offer both clear business cards and white plastic business cards (that you can print any background color on).
Yes, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, backside printing is not available with frosted business cards. Next, any area in your design that’s white will print as white, so be sure to check the preview before approving your design. And lastly, we don’t recommend full-bleed images or designs, since that’ll minimize the visual effect of the material.
