In your case, your order included 50 sets of 2-layer forms, meaning each set contains two sheets (a white and a yellow copy). The paper uses microcapsules of ink to create a clean, carbon-free duplicate and triplicate copy. Before this development, contractors and store owners used traditional carbon paper to create the same effect, which is why the term “carbon copy” is sometimes still used today.
