Misleading Inside Print Option on Box Design

The box would have been perfect- however the current setup allows users to fully design the inside of the box—upload logos, select colors, adjust fonts, and save the design—even if the “inside printing” option is not selected. This is very misleading. There is no clear safeguard or prompt indicating that the inside design will not be printed unless that option is checked. As a result, customers can spend significant time creating a design that ultimately does not get produced. If inside printing is not selected, the system should either: • Prevent users from designing that area altogether, or • Clearly notify users (in a prominent way) that their inside design will not be printed. Allowing full design functionality and final review - without ensuring it will be included in the final product creates confusion and leads to a poor outcome.

We have reviewed your order and based on the details, "outside only" printing was selected. In the future, please bear in mind that there are two printing options available: Inside and Outside, and Outside only. To have inside printing, please select "inside and outside" printing. Also, we would like to clarify that if "outside only" is selected, the option to create an inside design is not provided. What you saw was a default mock-up. A new tab in the design studio will appear for creating the inside when the inside and outside options are chosen. Again, your feedback and suggestions are valid and will be shared with our team. There you’ll use the editor to customize your packaging look or use the tools to reimagine an existing image. Remember to remove the die-lines from your uploaded image, otherwise they will be printed along with your design. Pro tip: For a more vibrant print, we recommend designs with darker tones or colors. Then, select the custom options that work best for your packaging look.

We recommend clear packaging or poly tape to best show off and preserve your design. When packing, we recommend you overlap the tape and make sure the tape stretches several inches down the either side of the box.

E-flute is very thin (1/16") corrugated cardboard. It’s very easy to fold and is excellent for printing. Sturdy and crush resistant, it’s a good option for shipments – we do not recommend these mailers for very large or heavy items.
