My only wish is that the covers are more durable, like thicker paperboard or cardboard to withstand being thrown in a bag.

We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the need for more durable covers. While our standard cover material is currently only available in 16pt thickness, we have noted down your insight about offering a thicker paperboard or cardboard option for our design and product teams to consider for the future.
In the meantime, while those thicker options aren't available yet, you might want to try our Fine Grit cover material for your next order. It features a unique, laminated texture reminiscent of fine sand that provides both an impressive feel and enhanced durability, all built right into a premium 16pt thickness to better protect your pages against daily wear and tear.
