Designing your custom square stickers with Vistaprint is easy. Once you've chosen your size and material, you can either upload your own artwork directly into our studio, or choose from one of our templates and personalize it with your own text, colors and images.
For the best possible quality, keep these tips in mind:
File format and resolution:
Upload your design as a PDF or PNG file at 300 DPI or higher. This ensures your sticker prints sharp and crisp. Avoid JPEG files, especially if you're using a transparent plastic material, as JPEGs don't support transparency.
Bleeds and safe zones:
If your design has a background color or image that extends to the edge, make sure it reaches the bleed area so there are no white borders after cutting. Keep important elements like text and logos within the safe zone to avoid anything being cut off.
Transparent material:
If you've chosen clear plastic, remove any white background from your design before uploading. A white background will print as white on a clear sticker, blocking the transparency effect. PNG and PDF formats preserve transparency correctly.
Text:
Keep font sizes readable – generally no smaller than 6–8pt – and avoid very thin or delicate fonts that may not reproduce cleanly at small sizes.
QR codes:
If your design includes a QR code, make sure it's dark on a light background, sized at least 1" × 1", and free of any overlapping design elements. This ensures reliable scanning once your square stickers are in use.

Sealing & closing:
Use a square sticker as a tamper-evident seal on boxes, mailer bags or tissue paper. The straight edges align neatly with box flaps and folds, giving a more polished finish than a circular seal on a rectangular surface.

Handwritten notes:
White, gold-foil and silver-foil paper finishes are all handwritable, so you can add a customer's name or thank you message directly on the sticker before sealing a package.
We recommend you apply your stickers to a clean, smooth and dry surface. Once the sticker is applied to the desired area, it will stay there – but when you’re applying the stickers, remember that it’s very important that the surface is completely dry.
