Matte paper can naturally soften tones, and the conversion from RGB (screen colors) to CMYK (print colors) may alter how certain shades reproduce. Looking at your submitted file, the CMYK mix of C‑0, M‑76, Y‑81, K‑4 produces a warm, vibrant orange‑red or tomato‑red tone. For a true, solid, and deep primary red on VistaPrint matte cardstock, the best CMYK profile is 0, 99, 91, 22 or a classic pure process red of 0, 100, 100, 0 adjusted with a small amount of black (K: 10–20) to prevent it from looking washed out against matte paper.
