Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:
Thank you for your very honest feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you loved the bag and found the price unbeatable—that's exactly what we aim for. However, we sincerely apologize for the stitching concern you found inside the bag. Kindly note that the paper-like material is called a stabilizer. It's a temporary support layer used during the embroidery process to provide a firm surface for the stitches. This is crucial for achieving a clean, professional look and preventing the fabric from puckering. While the stabilizer should have been trimmed more closely to the design, we apologize that such a large, visible piece was left behind. Here is how you can safely remove the excess stabilizer without damaging the stitching:
- First, use sharp scissors to trim the excess stabilizer as closely as possible to the embroidery design.
- Gently soak the area in warm water to soften the stabilizer, or use a wet cloth directly on the paper itself.
- Once soft, you can carefully rub off the paper with your fingers.
For any more stubborn or remaining pieces on the inside, use a seam ripper to gently scrape or pick it away, being extremely careful not to snag the embroidery threads. We are taking your feedback back to our production team to ensure the stabilizer is properly trimmed during our quality control process going forward.
