Regarding the collar, this specific model features a flat knit collar designed to stay crisp and flat against the shirt. This design is intended to prevent the "rolling" effect often found in other polos, which can sometimes lead to that restrictive, high-riding feeling similar to a turtleneck. To help with the fit, we recommend ensuring the collar is pressed or smoothed completely flat. We truly appreciate your suggestion about shortening the collar height.
