Stretchy Fabric May Not Be Well-Suited for Printing Digital Images

I ordered four 100% cotton t-shirts as prototypes for future shirts I was planning to order. I was extremely careful about making sure my designs were properly lined up and centered with the platform's guidelines when I created them. Unfortunately, some of them were off-center for my taste by a little more than a half-inch on each side. I spoke to a representative from Vista Print about this, and they were quick to help me. However, I will be cautious about ordering shirts from Vista Print in the future. I can only conclude that stretchy t-shirts may affect the exact centering of digital designs, or perhaps the printer's calibrations were slightly off when my shirts were printed.
