Hanging tags come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including a popular 2" x 3.5" size that works great for apparel, home decor and more. All sizes come printed in full color on your choice of stock, with 14pt options for a slimmer feel, all the way up to a hardy 18pt. kraft stock. (We offer foil and plastic hang tags, too.) With the tags’ pre-punched 0.15" hole and string (sold separately), attaching them to your products or bags is simple. Each uncut, 23' string is 2 mm thick and can be cut to the length of your choice – with common use, it’s enough for about 50 tags.

No, string does not come included, but you can add it to your cart before checkout. You’ll receive a 23' long cotton or jute rope. It’s 2 mm thick and can be cut for use for about 50 tags.
How to attach hang tags depends on your product. For clothing, simply thread a string or ribbon through the hang tag’s hole and tie it around the garment’s sew-in label or hanger. You can also use a safety pin or tagging gun.
Printed tags also attach easily to home decor, beauty products and even food items – use string to hang them from bottle and jar necks, as well as mug handles.
Or, if you offer gift-wrapped boxes, consider adding a hang tag as a cheery top-off. Simply thread the package’s ribbon or string through the tag’s hole before tying a bow on top.
All our hang tags come with a fixed .15" hole. The hole punch is located in the middle and .15" away from the top

Yes, you can print on both sides of your custom hang tags.
Yes, you can, except for our pearl paper, which isn’t meant for writing on. If you choose our premium glossy or soft touch paper, you can only write with a permanent marker.
No, they are not.
Labels tend to refer to paper labels with a sticky backing. Hang tags are pieces of thick paper that are punched with a hole and attached to products with twine, string or ribbon.
Selecting the right size for your custom hang tags depends on a variety of factors, including the size of your products and the info you wish to convey.
We’ve outlined some basic guidelines below. Note that not all sizes are available in all tag shapes. See our “Product Options” for more information.
2" x 2", 2.5" x 2.5: Ideal for minimal branding, with enough room to feature a logo or QR code. Recommended for small bottles and jars, candles and accessories.
2" x 3", 2" x 3.5": Standard yet versatile sizes, with room for a logo and product name, plus 1-2 lines of text. Recommended for apparel, bags, tabletop decor, jars and
large candles.
2" x 5", 2" x 6": Longer sizes great for showcasing photography and graphics, plus more detailed product information. Recommended for outerwear, wine bottles, gift bundles and plants.
2" x 7", 2" x 8": Our longest sizes. Ideal for visual impact, branded storytelling and providing extensive info (e.g. ingredients or material care). Recommended for bulky apparel, large decor items, furniture and home textiles.
We want you to love your custom hang tags. Check out our pointers below to ensure you create tags you’re proud to show off.
Use high-res images: If you’re uploading your own design, use an image or graphic that’s at least 300 dpi. This will result in clearer, crisper printing.
Be mindful of color: Screens display colors in RGB light, while printing technology utilizes CMYK ink – a slight shift in color after printing is normal. Darker colors, such as burgundy or deep navy, tend to differ the most between screen and print.
Note that paper selection can also affect the final colors. Kraft paper, for example, isn’t recommended for bright colors due to its natural brown hue.
Ensure the text is legible: When adding text, use high-constract colors and a font size of at least 8pt. If you’re opting for our smaller tag sizes, we suggest avoiding any thin/script fonts, which can be hard to read when printed at a smaller scale.
Review your work: We offer digital proofs that let you verify the details and alignment on your custom tags. Feel free to download as many proofs as you like prior to placing your order.
Shipping time for custom swing tags depends on the delivery option you select. We offer different shipping speeds for your convenience, all of which include production time; economy (8 business days), standard (6 business days) and express (3 business days).
When it comes to packaging, our hang tags are divided and packed into small boxes, which are then consolidated into a larger box for shipping.
