Upon checking, having a QR code as part of a pen design is not recommended since the printable height of the Alto Pen is only 0.24 inches. This size limitation makes it too small for a phone camera to resolve the individual data modules of a QR code. Additionally, QR codes require a clear border known as the “quiet zone” to be detected by scanners, but shrinking the design to fit the pen barrel eliminates this buffer space. Printing on a curved surface also distorts fine details, further impacting readability. As a gentle reminder, our printing system is automated and does not involve human intervention, so the submitted file was printed exactly as it was provided. For future orders, we encourage considering the size of design details compared to the actual product dimensions to ensure clarity and usability. For this product, the printable area is limited to 0.24" x 1.5", as shown in the design tool, so the artwork cannot be printed larger than that space. Please note that we print the design exactly as submitted and do not make changes or adjustments to the artwork before printing. To achieve a different look, the design would need to be adjusted before placing a future order.
