Made of 5 mm-thick foam or 3 mm-thick PVC-free board with a smooth matte printing surface, these signs are more substantial than posters, but still lightweight and portable enough to set up and take down in seconds.

Whether you need a custom size or want to get creative with arch and half-arc shapes, foam board posters can be designed to fit your space and need. And with 6 standard sizes and classic rectangle or square shapes, there's something for every setup. These foam signs come with a smooth matte finish for a refined look. Or, you can upgrade to our protective glossy coating for extra shine and scratch resistance (only available on our standard foam board material). Plus, you have plenty of options for displaying – whether it’s on a tabletop easel, floor stand or mounted on a wall with Command™ Strips.

I created and purchased a foam backed poster on the Vista Print website to be used at Birthday Party. The ordering process is easy and the date I ordered the poster gave me a few days to work with before the event. The box arrived when scheduled but when I went to retrieve it I immediately noticed the cartoon was ripped and the poster inside was dented. I didn't even need to open the entire box to see that my order was unusable. I reached out to Vista Print using their Chart Box and within minutes was told a new one would be shipped out. Yes we do. We have floor standing and table top easel options plus Command™ Strips available for purchase at checkout.

No, only the front has a printable matte surface.

Yes – for best effect, we recommend you use a permanent marker. Just a heads-up: if you add the glossy coating, writing on the surface isn’t recommended, as marker ink may smudge before it fully dries.

We are pleased to offer custom sizes for our foam board printing. We don’t offer custom shapes at this time, but you can choose from rectangles, squares, arches and half arches.

We don’t recommend it. These lightweight signs aren’t water- or wind-resistant, so we advise that you limit them to indoor use. If you’re looking for an outdoor-friendly option, consider our yard signs. That said, if you do need to use your sign outside for a short time, upgrading to the protective glossy coating (only available on our foam board material) can add extra durability and scratch resistance.

It depends which orientation you choose. For vertical foam board posters, we list dimensions as length by width. For horizontal signs, it’s width by height.

Here are a few quick tips to make your foam board printing look polished and professional:

  • Pick a size that fits within the layout of your event or store space
  • Keep your message clean and simple and use a large font
  • Let people know to approach you and ask to learn more
  • Use hi-resolution (300-dpi) logos and images for crisp printing

This coating adds a scratch-resistant, glossy finish that helps protect against scuffs while making your design look more vivid. You can select this option at checkout.
