There are no limitations on colors or design options. You can fully customize your compostable poly mailer by printing on the front, back and even the flap. Note that adding designs to the back side will incur an additional cost at checkout.
Our compostable poly mailers are crafted from sturdy 2-mil material and can generally hold up to 5 lb, including the gusseted options for extra space. However, the smaller 6” x 9” size has a slightly lower capacity at 3 lb.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the mailer weights based on size and gusset (the extra depth added to the base):
6" x 9": 0.18 oz.
12" x 9.5": 0.39 oz.
12" x 9.5" with 3" gusset: 0.49 oz.
4.25" x 12": 0.55 oz.
4.25" x 12" with 4” gusset: 0.75 oz.
19" x 13.5": 0.81 oz.
19" x 13.5" with 4" gusset: 1.09 oz.
Our compostable poly mailers are designed to break down in a home compost environment. Simply tear open the bag, remove the perforated flap and compost the rest. Under the right conditions, they’ll decompose into non-toxic, organic material, offering an alternative to traditional plastic disposal.
We do not recommend using our compostable mailers for direct food contact. However, they work well as secondary packaging for food items that are already securely wrapped.
Our compostable shipping bags are ideal for soft, flat and non-breakable items. For larger or bulkier goods, you can choose gusseted mailers, which provide extra room at the base.
At this time, we do not offer samples for our compostable mailers. The minimum order quantity is 50 units.
