What is the difference between your plastic, metal and acrylic signs?

How thick is the plastic material for your PVC signs?

We offer our custom PVC plastic signs in 2 different thicknesses: 3 mm and 6 mm. Our 3 mm signs are a great, low-cost outdoor option and are thick enough to withstand most weather. Our 6 mm option is best for harsher weather conditions and is a more durable outdoor rigid sign.

How many drilled holes will my custom plastic sign come with? How big are they?

Our 2 largest sizes, 24" x 24" and 24" x 36", will come with 6 holes. (1 in each corner, plus 2 in the middle). The other (smaller) 8 sizes will come with 4 (1 in each corner). The middle of each hole is 5/8" from the edge of the sign. The diameter of each hole is 3/8". Keep in mind that they are not automatically included, so don’t forget to select “Drilled Holes” before you start designing to have them custom made.

How do I clean and protect my plastic sign?

Our plastic signs can be easily cleaned using a damp cloth and mild soap. If you plan on installing your signs outside, make sure you clean them regularly. If possible, install them in areas that get limited direct sunlight and wind. This will extend the life of your sign. Depending on the size of your signs, store them flat and in a non-weight bearing manner to avoid bending and breaking when not in use.

How do I get the best print results for my plastic sign boards?

For the clearest and sharpest plastic sign prints possible, we recommend signs larger than 12" x 12" have a font size of at least 22pt and high-resolution images. This will ensure that your signs look their best from 4 or more feet away.

How durable are your custom PVC signs?

When properly cared for, our custom plastic signs can last up to 5 years. However, continued and constant exposure to the elements (like direct sunlight, wind and rain) can shorten this lifespan. Additionally contact with sharp objects can scratch or damage the plastic sign and reduce the lifespan.

Can I order custom shapes for my plastic signs?

Yes. We offer custom shapes to help your design stand out. Just upload your artwork with the desired shape included. Please note that custom shape orders are upload only and do not include drilled holes.

Issue with Printing Quality on Last Order

I received my last order and unfortunately it has serious printing defects. The logo is extremely blurred, which makes the product unusable. I had mine custom cut. It looks great. The only thing is I wish the print went all the way to the edges. This created a while outline. Which could work, but I think full color to the edge would make the design stand out more.

You do have the option to change the background color so that the die‑cut edges match the edges of your design. This can be done by selecting the “Background” option in the design studio and then choosing your preferred color or matching it to the one used in your design.
