Ordering custom letterpress note cards is simple. Select a paper stock and ink color, then dive into our template assortment to find your favorite. From there, you can add any text you’d like (name, initials, etc.). Or, upload a logo or original design. After customizing, we’ll take it from there. Each card will be individually pressed on a Heidelberg™ press (so some variations may occur), then packaged and shipped your way. Our stationery and printing expertise spans over 20 years, so you can trust that your letterpress note cards will look even more exquisite in person.

Frequently asked questions

Letterpress printing is a traditional printing method where metal plates featuring text and designs are inked and stamped onto paper. This leaves a deep impression in the paper, creating an antique look and satisfying texture.

It’s easy. Start by selecting a paper option from our menu along with an ink color. Then head to our gallery to select a card template. After that, you’ll be taken to the design studio to customize your template with your name, initials or any text you’d like. Review your design, place your order and that’s it. You’re done!

We offer 3 different paper stocks which vary in color, material, as well as weight. See below for details.

  • Uncoated: An uncoated paper with an absorbent finish. Available in white or ecru, this stock is a wonderful, budget-friendly option, with a weight of 130 lbs.
  • 100% Cotton: A thick stock made entirely of cotton, with a classic letterpress feel and a weight of 110 lbs. Available in pearl white or fluorescent white.
  • Premium 100% Cotton: Our double-thick, most premium cotton stock. With a weight of 220 lbs., the paper’s thickness prevents the invitation’s imprint from showing through the back of the card. Available in pearl white or fluorescent white.

You can add envelopes to your letterpress cards after designing. We offer 3 different types of Euro flap envelopes for letterpress note cards; free (available in white and ecru), navy and 100% cotton premium envelopes .

You can also skip envelopes altogether, but we strongly suggest adding them.

Note that we currently don’t offer addressing on our Euro flap envelopes: All envelopes will arrive blank.

We have 22 gorgeous ink colors for you to pick from (see the options tab for our full selection). Note that you can only select one ink color for your cards.

Yes. When you upload your design, it will automatically convert to a single color of your choice (you can select from 22 different colors using the dropdown menu in our design studio). Unfortunately, the technology behind letterpress printing does not allow for multicolor designs or background colors.

The printing methods used to create letterpress notecards leave them with a distinct texture that you won’t find in other types of stationery. Between this and their beautiful antique look, letterpress note cards can truly stand out and leave an impression on recipients.
With the time and technology required to create letterpress note cards, they can also be a bit more costly. However, here at VistaPrint we’re proud to offer you this beloved stationery at an accessible price.
