Slightly coarse, totally different

As soon as you hold a fine grit business card, you’ll notice the texture. The lamination is like a very light sandpaper that just catches your fingers a bit, without being uncomfortable in any way. In fact, it’s surprisingly satisfying, making the cards hard to put down. Pair the unique feel with a smooth matte look and you’ve got an unexpected and memorable way to get customers’ attention.

Tactile & tough

Beyond the wow factor of texture, fine grit paper is also one of our most durable, long-lasting options. The lamination coats the paper in a thin, protective layer that prevents smudges and keeps your cards looking great in almost any conditions. (And fingerprint-free, no matter how many hands they pass through). They’re built to go anywhere – and take your business to new places, too.

Very subtle grit texture

Very subtle grit texture. I feel like black ink doesn’t pop as much on these cards, but that could be just me. I think I prefer the raised, gloss print over this grit for clarity, but it’s still a nice card. Vistaprint did an excellent job trimming them.

Unique, and professional!

We just started a small apiary (honey farm) and these were the cutest addition to our new business. They’re thick, the colors came out vibrant, and of course they’re square (which adds to the whimsy). We will be buying these again.

Great cards with a cool touch

I love these gritty cards. They make the cards stand out in any pile so customers will remember the feel. It’s like a Tropical feel.

This is my first purchase from Vistaprint, and definitely not my last! The ordering process was easy for my magnetic car sign and delivery was fast, just in time for my first job.

Frequently asked questions

Fine grit business cards (also known as sandpaper business cards) are made from thick paper stock, with a synthetic lamination over it. This is what creates the slightly coarse, sand-like texture.

Our fine grit paper is 16pt, somewhat thicker than a typical business card. To give you a frame of reference, each point (pt) is equal to 0.001 of an inch.

Not at all! The cards feel like fine sand, and while they will catch your fingers as you touch them, it’s not rough or abrasive in any way.

No, we can't add special finishes to the fine grit lamination. But this special texture is designed to stand out on its own!
