This wedding sample kit is highly recommended! VistaPrint gives you several examples so you can feel the paper, see the potential and be able to order what you love! While I order all my business related items through VistaPrint, you always get nervous and overwhelmed with all the wedding options there are to pick from. But after getting this and looking through it, we know exactly what we want when it comes time to order our wedding invites, rsvp cards, and our menus. And we know what they will look like too! We cannot wait for that time to order them!

I recently ordered the free wedding kit to help narrow down which card/paper stocks had the right feel for our wedding. My initial thoughts before receiving it were things like, “menus need to be a little thicker, right? How would a raised font feel? Does it look classier?” etc. This free kit helps with the decision making process most of us never thought to think twice about (matte vs. premium, rounded corners, and what the heck is linen paper stock?). Get this free sample kit. Feeling the textures definitely helped us decide what we were willing to spend a little more on and what we could just do digitally or save with a different level of paper stock.

Of course, everyone’s wedding is unique and timelines can vary depending on so many factors, but here’s a timeline you can use as a general rule of thumb:

1 year out: Choose your wedding theme
8-9 months: Mail save the date cards
5-6 months: Create and order wedding invitation suite (including invites and any enclosures, like RSVP cards)
2-3 months: Mail out invites
2 months: Order “day-of” stationery like menus, place cards, programs

You can expect to receive your sample kit around 5-8 business days after you request it.
